Graze Festival is delighted to welcome The Murray Parish Trust as the official charity partner for 2017, and to support their latest mission, the 2 million steps campaign.  #2MillionSteps aims to raise £2 million in 2 years towards a much-needed brand new Paediatric Emergency & Trauma Department based in Southampton, to cover the entire South of England and The Channel Islands.

Founded by husband and wife duo Jim Murray and Sarah Parish after the loss of their first daughter in 2009, the trust is dedicated to supporting the families of children in life threatening conditions.

The couple were blown away by the awe-inspiring compassion and skill of the clinicians who supported them at Southampton Hospital Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, where their daughter spent half of her life.  They saw first-hand how desperately the unit relied on fundraising to provide equipment, and wanted to help the people who helped them through such a distressing time. Jim and Sarah have now raised over £300,000 for the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at University Hospital Southampton, and are determined to help even more paediatric facilities across Hampshire.

“We wholeheartedly believe that it is important to support this tremendous appeal and we are proud to collaborate with The Murray Parish Trust whose inspirational energy is making this innovative dream into a reality.” Says Nadine Collinson, partnership co-ordinator.
